I'm very absentminded

-A -one- summer day -some friends and I climbed-  hiked some friends and I Mount Rushmorem -Mt. Rushmore- , (watchful eye on us) ¿?  a bit of the group and then we -got- lost. We did not know where we were, we returned to find the group but they were -had- at that time decided to make the exursion on our -their- own, and appeared on the heads of U.S. presidents named after those (of safety trigger until the tour guide said that ivam with.) ¿?
